Samsung S5600 vs Samsung S5230 — Comparison Review

Comparison review video of the Samsung S5600 vs Samsung S5230. This video made by the cellularemagazine team.

Anyway, these devices are mid-range fulltouch phone from the company, packed with a large touchscreen display and operates on the latest TouchWiz UI, and also added a new feature called Gesture Lock — a feature to simultaneously unlock the phone and open a menu by just drawing alphabet letters on the touchscreen. Actually both of these two are nice, but unfortunately they lack of Wi-Fi, and only the Samsung S5600 that have the 3G-HSDPA support.

The World’s First 12 Megapixel TouchScreen Cameraphone – Samsung M8910 Pixon12

The Samsung M8910 Pixon12 — the world’s first 12 megapixel full-touch cameraphone, stuffed with loads of high-end features. In terms of the specs, this phone can be easily compared and assumed as a hard-competitor to the Sony Ericsson Satio. But unlike the Satio — which is powered by Symbian S60 5th Edition — the Samsung M8910 Pixon12 still runs on Samsung’s TouchWiz UI plus some visual upgrades, so it’s not a smartphone unfortunately.

The highlight of the Samsung M8910 Pixon12 is the 12-megapixel camera which employs a wide-angle 28mm lenses, along with both Xenon and LED flash. Some cool features related to the camera are including smart-auto feature which will detect and automatically switch the scene-mode based on the lights and objects; also the auto-focus tracking where the focus will track and follow the selected focus-point of the object. Nice, huh?

Samsung M8910 Pixon12’s camera claimed to be faster on start-up and image-saving time, at only 2 seconds. The camera also capable in recording hi-res videos (720×480 pixel resolution) at 30fps, and have all the support to the wide range of digital audio-video formats including H.264, DivX, and Xvid. The recorded videos and captured images can be easily shared to the social networking websites such as Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, Flickr, Photobucket, etc.

The Samsung M8910 Pixon12 sports a 3.1″ AMOLED touch-screen display with 10,000:1 contrast-ratio while still promising a power-saver feature. Other goodies that also stuffed under its hood are the HSDPA-HSUPA support, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, and much more.
